Explanation：〜ずじまい

Meaning
"〜しないで終おわる"

Used to express that something was intended to be done but, in the end, it wasn’t completed or realized. It conveys a sense of regret or missed opportunity, often because of circumstances that prevented the action from taking place.

Form
V（nai form）ない + ずじまい
※しない → せずじまい

Points

Missed opportunity: "〜ずじまい" emphasizes that an action was not performed despite the intention or expectation to do so.
Regret: It often implies a sense of disappointment or regret for not having done the action.
