Meaning
"how to do"/ "the way of doing"

Used to indicate the way, method, or manner of doing something. This suffix is attached to the stem of a verb and is commonly used to describe the "how-to" of actions, such as "how to read" (よみかた), "how to use" (つかいかた), and "how to eat" (たべかた).
